Coming or Going

10/03 - Present

Coming or Going is a game similar to Side by Side played for a 4-digit prize.  The contestant sees a "base digit" that is either the first or the last digit of the prize.  Three other digits sit with the base digit on a lever that, when pulled to the left, slides the three digits to the left of the base digit, making the base digit the last number in the price.  If the lever is pulled to the right, the base digit is the first numer in the price, and the other three digits slide to the right of that.  If the contestant guesses right, s/he wins the prize.

This is a pretty novel idea for a quick game, but the lack of any significant reveal of the ARP is a bit of a downer.  Coming or Going was the second new game to premiere in the 32nd season.

Here's the Coming or Going set.  Note that it matches the background a little too closely. If she "comes", the 5 is the last digit in the price, and the 9, 9 and 6 slide to the left...

If she "goes", the 5 is the first digit and the 9, 9, 6 slide to the right.  Unfortunately, in this case, she went when she should have come.
