Stack the Deck10/9/06 - Present Stack the Deck is a car game that was the first new game of the 35th season. Seven "cards" featuring possible digits for the price of the car are shown; only 5 are right. The contestant can earn three of the five digits by pricing three sets of grocery items. In the grocery item portion of the game, Bob gives the contestant a price and the contestant must guess which of the items the price belongs to. If s/he is right, s/he earns a "card" that is placed in the correct location in the car's price. After the grocery item game is completed, the contestant must then guess the remaining unknown digits in the price from the cards left over. If the contestant guesses the price correctly, s/he wins. The game harkens to Two For the Price of One, which has a similar free digit mechanism, as well as employing that game's strategy of choosing which digit(s) to place. Although it would seem like common sense to place the last three (and thereby hardest to figure out), the first (winning) contestant to play the game placed digits 2-4. The presence of a zero in the string of possible digits clearly indicated to him that it was likely to be the last digit, which it was.
