Gas Money

9/22/08 - Present

Gas Money is a pricing game played for cash and a car.  Five potential prices for the car are shown.  One is the exact price of the car and has a pink slip behind it, the incorrect prices have various amounts of cash behind them ($1,000, $2,000, $3,000, $4,000).  The contestant starts the game by picking the price s/he thinks is the car, thereby "banking" that price.  Then one by one the other four prices are revealed.  If cash is revealed under a non-banked price, the contestant can take the cash and leave the game or continue to the next price, risking the accumulated cash as the game goes on.  If the contestant reveals the pink slip under a price that s/he didn't bank, the game is over and everything is lost.  If the contestant banked the correct price upfront and plays the game to completion, the contestant wins the car and the $10,000 in cash.

This game mixes elements of Pass the Buck as well as 5 Price Tags.  It is the first pricing game to premiere in the 37th season and also the first pricing game introduced since Drew Carey took over hosting the show.  Gas Money was won on its first playing.
