cracked me up! I always look up the mostly mean stuff
people say about me and laughed my butt off when I saw your PYL stuff. I'm
worried that your friend really has a collection of those Press Your Luck
shows! I went on to do EEK the CAT with my best friend Bill Kopp who took over
making the whammies for PYL after I went off to make Better off dead. We
always laugh about the experience of making those stupid little Whammies.
Thanks for acknowledging their existence. Every now and then I'll see PYL on
late night cable somewhere in the world and say to myself "Jezus, the
whammy
still lives!" We got paid ten dollars a frame, most Whammies were about
twelve
"frames"...really really primitive computer-generated stuff that we
had to draw
with a weird unstable computer pen thingy that just made us feel like HORRIBLE
animators. Oh well. At least you guys watched it! Thanks again!
