One Right
Price
1975
- Present
This
game is as easy to figure out as Double Prices and only slightly
more exciting. A contestant is shown two prizes and one price tag
that represents the correct price of one of the items. If the
contestant guesses the prize to which the tag belongs, the
contestant wins both prizes. Like Double Prices, this game
usually is played to make up for time lost on other games.
During the
$1,000,000 Spectacular Specials, One Right Price was played for two cars.
Set
Changes: The two podiums first used for One
Right Price were tacky green podiums that had "?" marks
on them. The podiums were changed in the late '70s and were used
for both Double Prices and One Right Price. By the late '80s, One
Right Price had its own set of somewhat more tolerable blue
podiums, still used today.

| It's a hot dog cart and a new
armoire! Those tacky podiums are back. |
$1495 is the price of one of these
items--but which one is it? Janice looks great in yellow.
|
 |
 |
| That's a match--you win! |
The other prize was $520. This guy
won a bed and a fridge...much better than a hot dog cart. |
 |
 |
| This podium from 1980 is somewhat
sleeker... |
Here are the One Right Price
podiums from 1987. Wow, we're playing for two trips! Not
too shabby. |
 |
 |
| She thinks that trip to Ireland
has the One Right Price of $3000... |
...and she's right! That's over
$6,800 in trips she won! |
 |
 |
| Is $2916 the right price for the
trip to Canada... |
...or the trip to Hawaii? Note the
sleeker podiums. |
 |
 |
| He says Canada... |
...and he's right! He wins both
trips. |
 |
 |
|
Wha...? From the $1,000,000 Spectacular Specials in 2003. |
And she's a winner! Over $36,000 in cars won on One Right Price.
Don't see that every day. |
