Side by Side

1995 - Present

Side by Side is a Double Prices-esque game with a slight twist. A four-digit prize is shown along with two sets of two digits. Both sets are in the price of the prize, but the contestant must decide in which order they go. For example, if the numbers "42" and "68" are shown, the contestant must guess if the price is $4,268 or $6,842. A correct guess wins the bonus prize.

This is another short pricing game with a 50% win rate used to make up for time lost on more complex games. Side by Side is somewhat more exciting than Double Prices, Switch?, and One Right Price because of its sleek setup and neat win/loss readout. A win will read out with the price, a loss reads out with the word "sorry". In fact, Side by Side is usually easier than the other simple 50% pricing games because the range between the two price possibilities often exceeds $2,000.

It's a fabulous trip to Acapulco! Pricing game pointer: Trips to Mexico are cheap because airfare to Mexico from L.A. is cheap! Here's the Side by Side setup. It's simple, but still impressive.
Is it $4629 or $2946? Could this be any simpler? She's following my pricing game pointer and putting it at $2946.
And she's off to Acapulco! Olé! Just for giggles, here's a loser from 1996. Sorry!
