9/22/03 - 2004 (Retired)
Time is Money is a game played for a bonus prize and cash that premiered on the first episode of the 32nd season. At the start of the game, the contestant is given $500. Five grocery items are shown, and the contestant has 15 seconds to place the items on three areas with designated price ranges. If the contestant is right, s/he wins the bonus prize and the $500. If not, s/he can opt to leave the game with the $500, or, a la Barker's Markers, give up the $500 for a chance to reorder the items. The contestant is not told which items s/he has wrong in that situation.
The game rules were changed in October of 2003. The $500 voucher was eliminated and the contestant given 20 seconds to place the items. Under these rules, if s/he is not right on the first attempt, s/he is told how many items are wrong and is given another 20 seconds to make changes. The removal of the money element of the game rendered the game's title useless.
The game didn't last very long and was retired after only two seasons of play.

| Here's the Time is Money set, with the grocery items on the left, and the product ranges on the right. Meh. | Under $3, $3-$6, or over $6? |

| Bob's holding the $500 "voucher" the contestant is given at the start of the game. | You only get 15 seconds to place the items on the correct price range. |

| This contestant seems quite sure of herself and only needed 9 seconds to place the items. | Unfortunately, she was wrong. But she was smart and decided to leave the game with $500! The Garlique and aspirin were both incorrect. |
